The story of Abacus Payroll, Inc.
Abacus Payroll, Inc. was established in 1999 with one purpose: To simplify the lives of Alloy Silverstein’s small business clients.
At the time, the payroll industry was becoming more and more complex and regulated. Similarly, having a middle-man between the third-party payroll processer and the business’s CPA was an extra step that further complicated payroll and tax filing tasks.
By launching Abacus Payroll, Inc., we could guarantee to our clients that there would be no more complaints about inadequate and unresponsive service. Certain processes could be more streamlined, such as end-of-year bonuses and tax planning.
In 2008, Cherry Hill, NJ based Abacus Payroll and Alloy Silverstein Accountants and Advisors expanded with the opening of a Hammonton, NJ office. Abacus experienced further growth in 2019 with a merger with Payroll Express, Inc., based out of Northfield, NJ.
Twenty-five years in, Abacus Payroll, Inc. may call Hammonton, NJ home, but proudly has clients throughout the United States and has remained true to the founding promise of client service excellence.
