Celebrating National Payroll Week 2022

National Payroll Week 2022
Hosted by the American Payroll Association, National Payroll Week (NPW) is an annual highlight of America’s employees and the payroll professionals who pay them. Marked by Labor Day each year, this year’s NPW is being celebrated September 5-9, 2022.
While it may seem like direct deposit payments magically appear in your bank account, there are hardworking people behind those payments that make them a reality. Not only do payroll professionals assist in the paying of our country’s employees, but they take a large task off of the plate of business owners, ensuring their business runs smoothly and employees are content.
Celebrating Payroll Professionals
National Payroll Week is a week-long event dedicated to the payroll professionals who work tirelessly each pay cycle to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time each payday.
Here at Abacus Payroll, Inc., our payroll team members work together to provide quality and reliable payroll processing services without sacrificing the human component. Our professionals take great pride in our responsive and friendly reputation, personalizing our services and building relationships with each and every business client.
Small Business Payroll in America
With about 65% of American workers living paycheck to paycheck, it is important to be aware of your payroll system and ensure that it is executed properly. Almost half of workers in the U.S. have said that they will look for a new job after two paycheck errors at their place of employment. Knowing this, small businesses must be on top of their payroll in order to retain employees.
Almost 70% of small business say payroll and taxes are a moderate to significant burden. Yet only 45% of small business report outsourcing payroll to a trusted provider.
Let a payroll professional take this burden off of your shoulders. Reach out to an Abacus Payroll advisor today.
Money Matters National Education Day (MMNED)
One volunteer initiative offered by NPW is Money Matters National Education Day (MMNED), acknowledged on September 8, 2022. MMNED promotes financial literacy through volunteers teaching paycheck basics to young adults. From how paychecks are calculated to different possible payment methods, lessons are being taught in-person and virtually to assist in the education of money handling and paycheck necessities.
